Rhode Island Innovates 2.0
One of my recent public projects at my prior place of employment is the Rhode Island Innovates 2.0 report. I worked with a small team of economists and economic development experts on Rhode Island’s four year economic development plan in 2019. Through quantitative and qualitative research, including weeks of in-depth interviews with stakeholders across key economic sectors and government, we formulated 17 recommendations focused on sustainable and equitable economic development. My contributions included evaluating and writing about the effectiveness of Rhode Island’s current policy and program package. I had primary editorial responsibility for the report. Rhode Island Innovates 2.0 received significant press attention and several of the recommendations became topics of discussion in the 2020 democratic presidential primaries.
